I would highly recommend attending a Pilates class in your neighbourhood. It’s best to get some guidance when trying to start these types of exercises, especially if you’re experiencing pain or recovering from an injury.
Pilates are amazing. This workout was designing to assist dancers during “off seasons” to keep in shape and stay strong from the inside out. They are life-changing exercises.
If you haven’t seen a physiotherapist, this might also be a good idea, as they could assist with the medical point of view of getting you strong and healthy again.

Are there any websites or exercises that help relieve lower back pain. My back always feels like its going to snap off or something when i try making fast movements. its been like that for years since an accident, but i dont have medical so i cant ask a doctor.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Is yoga any good.

yes, try yoga because it’s good for increasing your flexibility along with back flexibility. I got my dad to do yoga and he said his back felt a little better.
Another solution is get a massage/visit chiropractor.

I’ve always had a bit of back pain, and I figure I’m tired of it, so I want to start some exercises for my back. I have access to several gyms at my university, but I would prefer exercises that I could do every day, or twice a day, at home. So, pilates/yoga type stuff would work well. I don’t have any dumbbells.

Can you recommend me good stretching exercises to heal the pinched nerve and ease the pain and flex the muscles..
If i do upper body exercises, like chest… will it still put weight on the lower back hurting it??

for my back pain, i found if i lay flat out and start stretching at the toes to my fingertips over my head. slowly until i can feel the release, helps the pain for awhile.

ooo my mum broke her back 3 times. she used to special excercises and some ceramic compresses. they help soothe the pain

my father has severe lower back pain. the doctor suggested Physical therapy 3 times a week for a month at 100 dollars per session.
He has gone to a PT b4 and they just give a pamphlet and make you do it at home mostly. for that $ $ $ its ridiculous.
What are some exercises he can do for lower back and abdominal strength?
He has a very large belly, and emphysema. It is very difficult for him to stand for long periods of time or even short periods of time without sever lower back pain.
Can you help us save $ $ $ and suggest some safe exercises?
my dad is 68. He has emphysema. he weight about 265. he had surgery for Acute Aortic Aneurism about 2 years ago. he also had ball joint replacement hip surgery about 15 years ago.
According to the doctor, the reason he needs the physical therapy is because, as my dad puts it in laymans terms “the skwishy fluid bits inbtwn the discs in my back are oozing out”. haha.. if that helps any…

while hes lying down have him raise and bending knee towards chest with you holding his leg.i have same prob.107$ for my session.heating pad and then cold ice pack aternate every 15 minutes.while he is sitting wrap those weight straps 10pds each let him work on each leg by lifting knee as high as he is able too.the more you strengthen the legs the better the back will feel.i too need to lose the belly it doesnt help good luck

These exercises are intended to relieve sciatica discomfort. However, sciatica discomfort is almost always a result of a lower back injury, so the exercises will work well for general lower back pain:

I had a partly-herniated disc in my lower back. My insurer refused to authorize an MRI or Physical Therapy, so I put myself on a Home Exercise Program using many of the above exercises.
I’m assuming you’ve seen a physician to rule out a more serious problem, such as a compression fracture. These exercises may hurt at first; it took me 3 months to resolve my lower back pain.

Lately I’ve been experiencing back pain. (I’m 17, 6’4″, male) I’m on my feet a lot at work, and I’m pretty flatfooted, though I always use shoes with good support. I’ve been doing pushups and curl ups in the morning, evening, and just as I can. Are there any other exercises, practiced, or routines that can help decrease back pain and improve posture? My posture used to be pretty bad but has since improved. However it still needs work because I’m still slightly hunched. Any advice?

my wife is 30,working as Ob/Gyn resident (hard work),her back and neck pain started 1 years ago,and now adays is gone interferes with her routine life ,she has pains and some tender points over her spinous processes of her spines usually starts in the evening after just a few hours sitting or standing,she has thorasic outlet syndrom stablished with EMG/NCV but had negative inflammatory markers like CRP,ESR,HLA B27,RF and …,she has just done MRI of her spines but there were no abnormality ,she is 156 cm ,58 kg.

Motrin for minor back pain works for me. If it’s really bad I would consult a dr.
